“You Could Stop At Five Or Six Stores,” a scripted line repeated by many actors at the Sarantos Studio of Acting when auditioning for an unknown advert. [number six] After an edited montage reel of the audition, which includes numerous actors painfully delivering the tagline along with other off-screen commentaries and dramatic poses, was uploaded to YouTube in 2010, the quote gained online popularity and became a common target of parodies.
In a video clip titled “The Billy Smith Message,” YouTuber Architect posted the earliest known footage from the audition reel on May 1st, 2010. (shown below, left) On February 4th, 2014, over 300,000 people viewed the video. Josh, a YouTuber from Oak Park, Illinois, posted an extended montage from the same audition (shown below, right). The audition reel, named “you might stop and five or six shops,” features actors performing the title line and other uncomfortable words. As of June 2017, the two video clips had received just over 300,000 and seven million views, respectively, since being uploaded to YouTube.

I keep seeing these auditions in funny video compilations where they do a sudden movement or pose at the end. They’re ridiculous, and I’m curious as to what’s going on and why they end up doing those poses. Is there someone who knows? If I keep running into it, it seems to be something I need in my life!
It’s exactly as you’ve said. They’re tapes from an obscure company’s audition process. Someone discovered them and began parodies, memes, and other types of satire. The uncomfortable pose at the end just adds to the awkwardness of the situation.
I believe it was a government experiment aimed at controlling people’s identities. They’re reciting a warning phrase when they say “You could stop at five or six shops… or just one.” It transforms them back into their former selves when they do their weird pose at the end. Because of their individual brain wave patterns, each person adopts a different pose or gesture. “You Could Conduct Five or Six Secret Government Experiments… or Only One” is the title of a non-existent book about the experiment.

“Shut up,” Taurus says. Simply put, stop talking. Don’t say something. Last night, I got enough details from you to last a lifetime. I’m going to walk out the door and tell the guy why I don’t have a home anymore.”
“Joe Banks, 82 years old, has been coming to this pond to feed the ducks for the past 17 years. Joe discovered, however, that the ducks had vanished last month. Some say the ducks crossed the border into Canada. Others have suggested Toronto. Some people say Joe used to sit by those ducks over there. But it’s likely that an old man and his ducks have no place in today’s world.”
“Oh damn!” exclaims Virgo. It’s meaningless. It’s ridiculous! Do you remember those black shoes? I warned you it was a bad idea. I bought this black dress to match the black shoes I forgot to bring with me. In case you’re up for a game later, I have six other pairs of shoes, two of which are running shoes. And now I’m in even more trouble because I have two black dresses but no black shoes. I know what you’re thinking: “Who cares what color shoes she’s wearing?” But trust me when I say this: “Who cares what color shoes she’s wearing?” “Women, take note!”

I’ve received a response! This video was recently sent to me by a friend. The video was absurdly amusing to me. Everyone in the video seemed to be auditioning for something, but I’m not sure what. These images, according to what I discovered, are part of a larger collection of videos. This piqued my interest; where did these clips come from? Are they genuine? I’d like to hear more about the situation. a total of 6 comments 96 percent sharesavehidereport Voted up This discussion has been closed. There are no new comments or votes that can be made.
