Fix tun/tap error while connecting to pia vpn for android

I’m not sure what the 188.8.131.52 route is about, and why are there two default gateways – that doesn’t seem right. Also, 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 are not in the same subnet (with a 255.255.255.192 netmask).

UPDATE: Many thanks for your assistance. VPN is now operational (not sure why, but I had to wait about 5 minutes after connecting to get it to work; maybe it’s due to the limitations of my router, such as a lack of CPU/MEM) My guess is that you will see the echo request but not the echo reply. This suggests that the packets are not being redirected back to the remote endpoint. In the server config file, you must also correct the routes.

If you search after running updates (run openvpn -version to see the version you’re on) and you’re still on a version lower than 2.4, I’d suggest reinstalling OpenVPN directly from their official repositories: apt-get uninstall openvpn sudo
