I used a Lorem Ipsum generator for the first test. Lorem Ipsum is a commonly used dummy text scheme by authors. There are many lorem ipsum generators available on the internet, but I prefer https://loremipsum.io/.
In the lorem ipsum text, Bear Notes correctly counted 100 words. So far, I’ve gone three for three! I copied the lorem ipsum text and checked the word count in a new Bear note. Simply open the note in Bear Notes for Mac and press the details icon to the left of the note to see the word count.
The paragraph contained 27 words, which Bear Notes correctly counted. I pasted the paragraph into a new Bear Note and gathered the note statistics shown in the image above by clicking on the details icon to the left of the note.
For the next exam, I downloaded a portion of the first chapter (449 words) of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz from the Gutenberg ebook website (https://www.gutenberg.org/). Gutenberg is a series of public domain ebooks that can be downloaded and read for free.
