Instagram story hack: fun moving magazine font 🎉 *new

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for Typography Tuesday! This is the first in a weekly series on typography, the art and technique of arranging type, designing type, and modifying type glyphs. This week, we’re proud to present new work by artist Alex Trochut, which was created for V Magazine’s Spring Preview, which is currently on newsstands.
Alex Trochut is a freelance designer and illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain, who was born with design genes. Joan Trochut, a printer/typographer whose legacy includes the invention of the Super-Veloz typographic system in 1942. Alex is a graduate of ELISAVA Escola Superior de Disseny in Barcelona, and his education was supplemented by an Erasmus program in Berlin, where he also interned at Moniteurs and Xplicit. His first job after graduation was with Toormix, a young design firm in Barcelona, where he stayed for two years before moving to Vasava, another young design firm. The exuberance of Vasava’s work proved to be the ideal setting for Alex to hone his typographic skills, improve them, and then take his show on the road as an illustrative contractor, delivering special and unexpected work.

How to create a rolling stone-inspired magazine cover

You may not be familiar with Jesse Ragan’s name, but you are definitely familiar with his typefaces. Since graduating from RISD in 2001, he’s worked on a variety of HF&J favorites, including Archer, Gotham, and Sentinel, as well as Darden Studio’s Omnes. He recently unveiled a new website (also beautifully designed) that highlights all of his typefaces and lettering work, including the ones we’re all familiar with. But it was his custom work for V Magazine that drew me in, a stunning high contrast sans serif that serves as the publication’s primary typeface. Take a look at this page and see for yourself.
Courtney is the co-founder of Design Work Life and Seamless Creative, a small design agency she and her husband Brian operate together. She now spends her time creating brand identities for small companies and soaking up (and sharing) as much inspiration as she can. Continue reading:

We also notify our readers about graphic and advertisement contests and awards that are important to the pre-press industry. Zlata pecka (The Golden Stone), Nejkrasnejsi kniha (The Most Beautiful Book), and Nejlepsi vyrocni zprava are the names of these awards (The annual report with the best design).
We believe our magazine’s hardware and software sections are equally relevant. Tests of various hardware components and peripheral devices, such as displays, digital cameras, laptops, printers, and scanners, are published here.
This query yielded better results than we had expected. About 90% of those who replied were online at the time of our survey. The irony is that four web designers replied by filling out a paper form, despite the fact that they all have fixed line connections in their studios.
