Change windows 7 user icon / profile picture

On a user’s profile, a user icon (also known as a logo, profile picture, or avatar) is an image. It is also used to mark the Scratcher and is used to represent the user. New accounts begin with Yickpoo’s default Scratch cat icon, which is shown to the right.
Animated GIFs are GIF files that contain animation and have more than one frame. They became extremely popular after users discovered they could use them as their icons. Many of the aforementioned paint programs, as well as Pivot Stickfigure and Stykz, can generate GIF files. Some users run “shops” in the Requests forum, where they sell animated GIFs for icons.
To make an animated GIF for your profile photo, go to a website that has GIFS, save one to your file, and change your icon as normal. Animated icons are extremely common, and they are often used as user icons.

In today’s tutorial, we’ll take a look behind the scenes of the process of making a user profile icon in Illustrator, and see how we can do it with only a few simple geometric shapes.
As with any new project, we’ll begin by creating a New Document by going to File > New (or by pressing the Control-N keyboard shortcut), which we’ll then customize as follows:
Quick tip: If you set the document’s Profile to Web, most of the indicated settings will be automatically triggered; the only one you’ll have to manually change is the Artboard’s Size (Width x Height).
We can start working on the actual user profile icon as soon as we finish setting up our project file. We’ll do that by creating the main shape for the background using a 56 x 56 px rectangle, which we’ll color with #ffd05c and then center align to the underlying Artboard using the Align panel’s Horizontal and Vertical Align Center choices.
Change the shape we just made by opening the Transform screen, then moving to Rectangle Properties and setting the Radius of the bottom-right corner to 8 px and the rest to 28 px.

Ps3 detailed tutorial – cfw/hen – system profile user avatars

I’m trying to use LANDesk to deploy an MSI. If I install the application as a local system administrator, all of the icons are placed in either the system profile folder or the All Users folder (such as the All UsersStart up) folder. Since the user does not have ample user rights, I must install as the local machine. How can I add icons to the user’s profile director rather than the profile director for all users (so that the program starts up for the USER rather than for EVERYONE)?
dj xest also discussed downloading software per user, but I’ve always had terrible problems trying to do that. Usually related to later updates, techs have run into problems where they can’t uninstall the app unless they first login to the customer’s account, which is inconvenient. Not only that, but you must update the software for each user, which means they must wait for installation even though it has already been installed on that device. It’s not a problem for small applications, but it’s a hassle for larger ones.
