Ubisoft fake email

Watch dogs 2 – live dedsec hack | ubisoft [na]

If you’ve received an email that appears to be from Ubisoft inviting you to enter the Far Cry 6 beta, Ubisoft wants you to know that it’s a phishing scam. A tweet from YouTuber theRadBrad first revealed that fake beta invites have been circulating. “”Just a heads up to all content creators,” he wrote, “there is an email circulating that claims beta access to Far Cry 6 from the official Ubisoft address.” It also has an embargo and a unique password to gain entry to it.” Clicking on the invite’s accompanying connection, according to theRadBrad, will install a virus that “watches your screen and records all you do.”
“Please do not reply if you have received this email or similar,” Ubisoft’s Support feed responded, confirming the fake beta invites were a phishing attempt.
Of course, this isn’t the first phishing attempt to capitalize on anticipation for a new video game. Last year, CD Projekt was forced to alert players about a series of emails purporting to provide sign-ups for Cyberpunk 2077 beta access.

It’s possible that something was hacked again, or that known Login-Daten or PWs were tried out while using the service. In theory, a service can also do something after X failed attempts. Perhaps the notification will arrive as well. Is it true that you were logged in to the first email or was it a VERSUCH?
If your system isn’t well-protected, you might be the victim of a Drive-by-Infection as early as when you send an HTML-formatted email with active scripts — this isn’t true until after you visit a website.

Far Cry 6 was revealed last year, and it was initially scheduled to be released in February of 2021. However, it was not to be, as the game was postponed until the fiscal year 2022, sometime between April and September of this year. Since then, there’s been a lot of silence, but we’ve finally learned something about the game. Unfortunately, it isn’t a good thing.
Ubisoft has issued statements warning about fraudulent emails, according to DSOGaming. The emails are invitations to participate in the game’s Early Access phase. “Some of our media and content creators are being sent fake emails using the Ubisoft domain inviting you to participate in early access for Far Cry 6,” Ubisoft says, adding that they’re investigating. Such emails should be ignored. Our security teams are looking into it.”
It appears to be a phishing attempt, similar to what occurred recently with Capcom and their upcoming Resident Evil Village release. So, if you get any emails about Far Cry 6, ignore them for the time being.
