With the support of a knowledgeable friend, I purchased this laptop five years ago. I insisted on purchasing a separate mouse and keyboard to complement the laptop, and they have performed admirably. However, I’ve had to take the Toshiba to Best Buy on many occasions to get issues diagnosed and corrected. Frequently, the Geek Squad is unable to resolve the problem. For instance, the spell check function is broken and they haven’t been able to fix it. That is unquestionably a downside of typing. I recently attended my first Zoom meeting, and my microphone was broken; I could hear the others but no one could hear me. The Geeks claimed that the microphone was in good working order. Oh well… I’m not completely satisfied with the device, but I’m also not ready to replace it.

I’ve been using Toshiba laptops since the DOS days and have found them to be extremely dependable, stable, and well-built to withstand violence. When I was washing my car with soap solution, I forgot to close my window, which soaked my Toshiba. Soapy water is used. I sprayed it with clean water and set it out in the sun to dry fully. Surprisingly, it turned on and stayed on for many years after that.

Which is the better surface? Toshiba’s Portege X30T is a convertible with an exterior that is virtually identical to that of its major Microsoft rival. We may have a strong-performing option here at a similar high price but with many included accessories. Many information, however, remain concealed in the details, which we will disclose in our analysis. 01/04/2019, Mike Wobker, Sebastian Jentsch, Felicitas Krohn (translated by Mark Riege)
Toshiba is slowly but gradually re-establishing itself as a brand that associates modern hardware with a pleasing design and strong functionality. The Portege X30T may appear to be a Surface clone at first glance, but thanks to the numerous connections provided by the included hardcover keyboard, it offers many laptop qualities that only a few convertibles can match.
An Intel Core i7-8550U processor with an integrated UHD Graphics 620 graphics unit provides plenty of processing power. A 1-TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM have been added. At 2750 Euros ($3121; a similar configuration with an i7-8650U and a 512-GB SSD currently costs $1888 in the US), this equipment also represents the highest configuration standard, which is also the most expensive. The prices of the additional model configurations are described in the table below.
