@deuteragenie, thank you for your kind words. I was always compiling with “Force Atheros drivers to respect” for channels 12, 13, but I couldn’t set country 00 and increase txpower to 20 with my previous builds (lede has a very weak signal in default build compared to stock), but it works better with amq’s release, so I assumed it had jow’s reghack integrated. It’s good to hear it works without it as well; I haven’t tried to compile myself in a long time.

I’d appreciate it if you could assist me. I have a TPLINK WR841N Router 9.0, and I updated the gargoyle 1.7.1 version yesterday in anticipation of making the OpenVPN client. However, I searched and did not find anything in the OpenVPN connections. How do I set up the OpenVPN plugin? Or is it the router that isn’t compatible? I wanted a simple router that could only be used as an OpenVPN client.
If you have at least a very basic understanding of command line linux, compiling your own Gargoyle construct with the modules you need is very easy. It’s also possible to do it on a cloud vps for a few cents per hour.
