Icons, field titles, and help text: improving the content editor

How do I create a field that allows users to choose a font icon from the regular font library? Is there a way I can set this to pick the file from the relevant folder and manually add the svg path in my front end, or is there a way I can set this to select the file from the relevant folder and manually add the svg path in my front end?
This is the type of thing I’m searching for, but the site is for a customer who won’t be able to use custom html. I wasn’t sure whether the rich text editor had a field form or extension where they could pick an icon and it would automatically attach the icon tag. OR a selector type, similar to the media/image selector, which would fill the field with the class name, which I could then inject into the html.

A new list item is generated by a paragraph break (a space created by pressing the Enter or Return key on the computer keyboard).

If a feature you need that was previously available in the TinyMCE editor is not available, an Atto editor plugin may be available. There is, for example, a plugin for adding colors and another for adding a horizontal law.
An administrator can also activate the TinyMCE Editor by going to Site Administration > Plugins > Text editors > Manage editors, and a user can switch from Atto to TinyMCE by going to the Preferences section of their user profile and selecting Text editor.
The older spell engine settings are available in Administration>Site administration>Plugins>Text editors>TinyMCE HTML editor>Legacy spell checker if you’re using the TinyMCE editor. (In order to use PSpell or PspellShell, your server must have aspell 0.50 or later enabled, and the correct path to the aspell binary must be entered in Administration > Server > Device paths.)
