Bowfinger (1999) original trailer [hd 1080p]

Steve Martin is one of the most gifted artists of our time. As a film actor, he has a long list of credits, including Cheaper by the Dozen, Father of the Bride, Roxanne, Parenthood, L.A. Story, and many more. For his television writing, he has won Emmys, and for his comedy albums, he has won two Grammys. He has written a play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, in addition to his bestselling novel The Pleasure of My Company and a series of comic bits, Pure Drivel. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
This was recommended to me by a friend. I’m not a massive fan of Steve Martin, but I’m intrigued by humor and comedy writing. After finishing the novel, which was a pleasure to read, I gained a new respect for Martin and believe this is an excellent insight into comedy and stand-up. Since it is a small novel, it will not take long to read, but don’t let that deter you.
Steve Martin reflects on his early days as a stand-up comic. He’s a meticulous performer and an amusing writer on occasion. His recalled rituals are the best parts. The wild and crazy guy character was carefully crafted, and it’ll be fascinating to see if he loses faith in it.

You’ve probably come across a few Amazon original movies when browsing Amazon Prime Video. They can be hit or miss, but some of them turn out to be unexpected gems. The film Sound of Metal has earned a slew of Oscar nominations, including best picture and actor for Riz Ahmed. He portrays Ruben, a punk-metal drummer who begins to lose his hearing. Ruben is forced to adjust to his new life in the deaf community and study American Sign Language in addition to dealing with an opioid addiction. Ruben’s suspenseful story and the perspectives of those around him are brought to life by the film’s spectacular sound design, which was also nominated for an Academy Award.
A social commentary-laced teen comedy-horror-thriller. What a combination! Get Duked! follows three slacker students, one nerd, and their dull teacher as they travel to the Scottish Highlands in order to compete for an award that allows them to traverse the area using only a paper map. All gets a bit more exciting as the four teenagers are left to fight for themselves against the Duke, a murderous hunter played by Eddie Izzard. The entire young cast is brilliant, with a strong script full of witty banter. Get Duked! is chaos walking, cussing, and eating dubious local flora. It’s like Boy Scouts meets Invade the Block.

Cent has the ability to teleport. Her parents can, too, but they are the only ones on the planet who can. This isn’t as fantastic as you would imagine – yes, you can go shopping in Japan and then have tea in London, but keeping a secret like that is difficult. And there are people out there, dangerous people who work for governments who have weapons, who want you to do one thing for them. Things get even more complicated when you’re a young girl. Senior year in high school. Kids, to be precise. Climate change, refugees, and genocide are all problems that need to be discussed. Orbital mechanics is a branch of physics that deals with the motion of objects
Cent is hiding something. She lives in seclusion with her parents, avoiding both the people who abducted and manipulated her father in order to gain power of his teleportation capacity and the government agencies who want to manipulate it. Cent has seen the world, but only from the protective arms of her parents. Except for her mother and father, she’s teleported more than anyone on Earth, but she’s never been able to do it herself. Her life was never in jeopardy. Before she went snowboarding without permission one day and set off an avalanche. She unexpectedly found herself in her own bedroom as the snow and ice fell around her.
