Should i make a linkedin reddit

How to use subreddit karma for marketing on reddit

Since the first time I learned about LinkedIn and started receiving queries from friends and colleagues, I’ve despised it. I’ve done all I can to prevent it, and luckily, the last couple of jobs I’ve had provided me with personal references from current coworkers, so I didn’t need any additional background information. Now that I’m back on the hunt (software developer), it’s made me wonder. How relevant is a LinkedIn profile to prospective employers? The majority of the information is already on my resume; the only thing that is truly lacking are the social ties. Reddit advertising 101

I’m not sure if this is the right sub, but I’m actually looking for work and have a few problems with LinkedIn.

Work in progress: how reddit creates a culture of belonging

One is because it is open to the public. You used to hand your resume over to a future employer. Isn’t it now just someone who can look over your whole career on the spur of the moment? Thank you, but no. I don’t want strangers to know where I’ve worked and who my connections are, which leads me to #2: it’s a social network! Company and social media, in my opinion, should have little in common. I don’t want to be judged because I just have a few connections; I don’t want to add everybody I’ve interacted with, and I definitely don’t want to be connected to everyone! Why do people behave as if getting on this social media site for work is a prerequisite these days? Is it possible for me to go without it? What are your thoughts? Thank you. Edit: It’s nice to know that others are aware of this; I knew I couldn’t be the only one! 30 responses 90 percentsharesavehidereport Voted up This discussion has been closed. Why being #opentowork on linkedin is working against you

As part of a University degree module, I was required to create and reflect on a LinkedIn profile. After spending some time with it, I’ve come to the conclusion that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. Sure, you can compare yourself to someone in your profession, but as far as I can tell, that’s not the main benefit of having an account. Furthermore, the actual useful features, such as seeing who has seen the account and seeing the top skills workers possess, are only available through their premium account, which is absurdly costly. So, persuade me otherwise by demonstrating how LinkedIn is actually useful and beneficial for job seekers, especially soon-to-be graduates. The CMV moderators have added a footnote. We’d like to draw your attention to a few items. Please read through our rules first. It is more important to report a comment that has broken one than to downvote it. Downvotes, by the way, have no influence on people’s opinions! If you have any doubts or questions? And do not hesitate to contact us. Good luck with your CMVing! Reddit marketing: how to make the most out of reddit in

Is new reddit really that slow?

Is it more useful for someone who has recently graduated and is looking for a good job in their profession, or can it be used to find odd jobs when attending school, even though they are not in their field?

I have one, but I’m not sure how reliable it would be for me because I’m actually taking a break from schooling in my profession (forensic psychology). I was previously using it in part for home healthcare because I was using it when I wasn’t in school. I’m just looking for truthful feedback on whether I should delete it or whether there’s a way to improve my profile when I’m not in school or working. Thank you so much! 95 percent upvoted from 129 commentssharesavehidereport This discussion has been closed. There are no new comments or votes that can be made. Sort by the strongest.
