Research shows that decentralisation system is not working
Verb tense consistency aids in the smooth flow of your prose. What verb tenses to use in different parts of a scientific text is generally decided by the tradition of the discipline about which you write. However, the following guidelines can assist you in deciding when to use past and present tense in general. Consult your adviser if you have any questions about tense or other writing issues relevant to your discipline.
To explain your approach and present your findings.
Since you have already completed your research by the time you write your paper, thesis, dissertation, or post, you can use past tense in your methodology section to document what you did and in your results section to report what you learned.
When referring to previous researchers’ work. Use past tense when referencing previous research in your post. Whatever a previous researcher said, did, or wrote occurred at a particular, definite point in time and is no longer being done. Results that are only applicable in the past or to a specific study and have not yet been widely accepted as reality should also be expressed in the past tense:
Videoblog: research shows that traders are prone to act like
Video is more common (and easier) than ever before in communication. Does video, on the other hand, boost the efficiency of sales emails? Does it have an impact on the open and respond rates? To find out, we dug deep.
Our data science team recently investigated the impact of sales email personalization, revealing valuable insights into how much, when, and, in a separate article, how long sellers can change email content to get the most opens and answers. We believe in the power of an authentic, human approach to sales at SalesLoft. As a result, our next effort will be to use video to boost the efficiency of sales emails.
Our data science team analyzed the effects of using a video at different points in a cadence using over 134 million emails produced solely from cadences. 4.5 million emails have an embedded video, which includes a picture as well as a connection to the video material rather than a potentially monitored link.
We also considered the day of the email’s cadence, as well as the position of the video inside the communication. The video was sent on day 4 and is 131 characters (44 percent) into the email in the example above. Signatures are omitted from our studies as a privacy measure.
Cbe: what the research shows
The distinction is whether or not it is used as a count noun. The difficulty in determining whether it is still used today stems from the fact that many of the findings I’ve reviewed are from old writings, non-English sources, or writers who aren’t native English speakers.
For instance, I discovered it in a book titled “e-Learning, e-Education, and Online Training,” which was based on the proceedings of an international conference held in Shanghai in 2018. In some way, all of the titles in this book have a non-English sounding name. I have no way of knowing whether or not this is a factor.
So far, I’ve looked at a few examples of “researches” and found that they all have the telltale signs of being written in a language other than English. I can’t assume, though, that “researches” isn’t used in English. My understanding is that it is used, and although it may be accurate, it is not the most common type. So “some research shows” rather than “some researches shows” is the way to go.
Research shows first land plants were parasitised by microbes
Every year, it appears that the amount of plastic circulating in ocean gyres and surging toward coastal beaches is rising. The amount of plastic particles eaten by fish — including species that help feed billions of people around the world — has also increased.
The researchers combed through a growing body of research on plastic waste in the ocean and discovered data on plastic ingestion in 555 marine and estuarine fish species. Their findings revealed that 386 fish species consumed plastic, accounting for two-thirds of all species. There were 210 commercially fished species among them.
However, researchers discovered that fish type and behavior play a role as well. The most plastic was consumed by active predators — those at the top of the food chain, such as members of the Sphyrnidae family, which includes hammerhead and bonnethead sharks. The grazers and filterfeeders ate the least amount of food.
While bioaccumulation of plastic and its associated chemicals can be harmful to one’s health, it hasn’t yet resulted in noticeable fish population issues. The majority of the organisms found to have consumed plastic are still abundant, according to the report.
