Uninstall avira free antivirus for mac guide

I attempted to uninstall Avira (free version) by dragging the uninstall tool to the trashcan from the Apps folder. The Avira icon was gone after reboot, but avwatchdogx.bin and the avguard threads were still alive. I attempted to reinstall Avira, but it refused because “Avira is already installed.” I could stop the daemon and manually uninstall all files and directories with the word “avira” in their names, but I could miss config file changes. So far, no one has responded to my post in the Avira community. Is there someone who can assist me?
Thank you to everyone who responded, and I apologize for not responding sooner. I contacted Avira, and they provided me with a script to handle the file removal. I’d already found all of the files with “sudo find / -iname ‘*av*’ -print,” so I didn’t want to have to grep through all of the plists and config files to see if something was missing. The issue has been resolved. Thank you once more!
