Quark technical support
Quarkxpress 10 – masterclass lektion 1 (deutsch)
Quark is a brand that has stood the test of time by continuously reinventing and innovating to meet the changing needs of its customers. With QuarkXPress for desktop publishing in the 1980s, Quark laid the foundations for modern publishing. In the 1990s, the brand cemented its place as the world’s most commonly used professional page layout solution in the software industry.
Quark has once again risen to the task of revolutionizing its tech and brand to represent a rapidly evolving global medium and an ever-expanding range of connected consumers, thanks to the meteoric rise of digital media in the 2000s and 2010s.
Quark’s name includes the words “creation” and “growth.” The name of the brand is derived from the subatomic particle, which is the fundamental building block of all matter. Quark has used the building block framework for customer service to eventually arrive at a coherent multichannel customer service approach, which has now doubled the brand’s Net Promoter Score in just over a year.

Quark offers design and publishing services to over three million customers in over 160 countries from its headquarters in Denver, Colorado. It also has offices in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Quark has employees on three continents, which gives us a global perspective that is critical to our success.
We establish partnerships with full-service distributors in countries where there are a large number of Quark consumers but no Quark offices. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and a host of European and Asian countries are among them. Customers seeking Quark products and updates, in-depth technical assistance, and customer service can contact full-service distributors.
We also develop structured business partnerships with practitioners in the printing, training, and information technology industries for the benefit of our end users. Our QuarkAlliance program offers specialized assistance to trained trainers, production organisations, printing houses, software developers, and device implementation specialists. To learn more about these programs, go to Partner Programs.
Quarkxpress 2019 – preview of the week – flex layouts
In a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) world, QuarkXPress is a desktop publishing program for designing and editing complex page layouts. It is compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows. It was first released in 1987 by Quark, Inc., and the company still owns and publishes it.
QuarkXPress 2019 (internal version number 15.0) supports publishing in English (“International and US.”) as well as 36 other languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Korean, Russian, French, and Spanish.
Individual designers, major publishing houses, and companies use QuarkXPress to develop a wide range of formats, from single-page flyers to multi-media projects for magazines, newspapers, catalogs, and other publications. Ebooks, Web, and smartphone apps are also included in newer versions.
QuarkXPress released XTensions, an application programming interface that enables third-party developers to build custom add-on functions for the desktop application, in 1989. Xtensions was one of the first examples of a developer allowing others to build software add-ons for their application, alongside Adobe’s Photoshop plugins.
