Overall Review: I bought this and configured it with two 3TB drives in RAID 1 to back up the different systems I have around the building. It’s a good backup solution for the home office that also serves as a remote media server. My main gripe is with QNAP’s program, which is expected to use even the NAS’s most basic functions. When it comes to connecting to the NAS and accepting user credentials, their backup utility is a little shaky. Aside from that, having to download a new program from QNAP any time I want to use a different function on the NAS is just inconvenient. The unit, on the other hand, is rock solid. Fortunately, one of my friends owns one. So I borrow it and put it through its paces before buying it. Overall, this device is adequate for basic data storage. If the CPU, on the other hand, can be rendered quicker. It’ll be a better deal than before.
