Prospect Heights school districts are recognised for their dedication to excellence and sincere concern for their students. Although Elementary School District #23 serves the majority of Prospect Heights, it also serves Elementary School Districts #21 and #26. The Discovery Center in Wheeling includes a separate building for science classes for District #21 students. Prospect Heights is served by two private schools.
Students in Prospect Heights attend Wheeling High School or John Hersey High School, which are also in High School District #214. The US Department of Education has recognized both schools with the Excellence in Education award. With diverse student activities and athletic programs, both high schools cater to the special needs and desires of their students.

To comply with social distancing and ability guidance, our Board meeting will be held in the theater at MacArthur Middle School, with seating restricted to the first 40 members. The meeting will be broadcast LIVE at https://youtu.be/S1IkJrl34BA.
There will be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting. Any member of the public who wishes to make a public comment may do so via email to [email protected] before 7:00 p.m. on August 12, 2020. ‘PUBLIC COMMENT – BOARD MEETING – 8/12/2020′ should be the subject line. Email public comments will be read out loud during the meeting’s public comment period. The speaker’s name and address must be included in the comments, which are limited to three minutes. The object of public comment is for members of the public to provide input to the Board on school-related issues. The Board will not comment or react because this is not intended to be a debate.

Prospect Heights School District 23 is a school district in the Chicago neighborhood of Prospect Heights, Illinois. Betsy Ross Elementary School, Anne Sullivan Elementary School, and Douglas A. MacArthur Middle School are the three schools on the intersection of Palatine Rd. and Schoenbeck Rd. At Camp McDonald Rd. and Schoenbeck Rd., Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School is near the city’s Public Library and Park District. There are approximately 1,450 students enrolled at the school. A little more than half of the students attend middle school. The school district serves students from Prospect Heights, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, and Wheeling. Students from the area later attend either John Hersey High School or Wheeling High School, which is part of Township High School District 214.
