Pfsense port forwarding not working

Pfsense: how to nat / port forward to a server to secure

I have Port Forward rules that have been reviewed and are currently in use. All Port Forward rules stop working when HAProxy is started (i.e. after initialization FE/BE). Also inside shell, all configured ports of the Port Forward rules stop working. When the HAProxy package is uninstalled, it will work again.
For the record, I was only using HAProxy & NAT/PF on my implementation at the time, and not Captive Portal, but there appears to be something causing issues with IPFW when both HAProxy & NAT are allowed on my setup and subsequent tests.

Setting up port forward on pfsense

Hi there! I’m trying to use pfsense to port forward a Minecraft server project, but it’s not running. I went to the LTT forum and asked (https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/832907-port-forwarding-not-working-on-pfsense/#comment-10414219), and the guy was stumped, so he guided me here because he said y’all were pretty good at this stuff. All associated images can be found in the LTT forum thread. Thank you so much! There have been 24 views. 74 percent upvoted by sharesavehidereport This discussion has been closed. [pfsense] port forwarding for remote desktop

I’m trying to set up NAT port forwarding for some development servers and my Mac on a pfSense 2-3-RELEASE firewall. My iMac has a dynamically assigned IP, while the servers (FreeBSD) have statically assigned IPs.
It works fine when I use an IP address as the destination host for port forwarding for HTTP or SSH to individual hosts. As a result, I’m confident that my firewall rules and NAT configuration are up to date. I also know that NAT reflection works because I can apply it to my network internally and indefinitely.
Now, using the IP address isn’t a big deal for me because the servers’ IP addresses don’t change much, but I’d prefer to use an Alias because it’s easier to remember what the server is than to look up an IP address. However, since my iMac has a complex IP address, I’d like to make this work.

Port forward troubleshooting on pfsense

I’ve had issues with port forwarding as well. It tends to be decided by the server to which you are linked. I’ve produced a ticket for the issue. I was connecting to agena (in Canada) when port forwarding started working (I’m not sure how long it’s been, but it’s been a few days). I’ve established connections with Metallah (US) and alya (CA), both of which are operational.
I’ve had little success with pfsense 2.4.2 and different German servers. If the workers will look into this, it would be greatly appreciated. In the last few months, I’ve seen a lot of posts in this forum about port forwarding issues…

No portforwarding is working for me, regardless of which server I use. 2.4.2 Pfsense
