Although the directions state that a credit card can be manually entered, the app kept asking me to scan the card (presumably with the phone’s camera because I didn’t have the card reader inserted). Since I didn’t have the physical card with me, I had to manually enter the information (but did have the customer on the phone giving me her card info). Is it possible to manually enter cards?

How to fix the steam paypal bug – “your purchase has not
Hello there! So, even though I have ample funds on my PayPal balance, PayPal has been prompting me to add a credit card to my account for the last couple purchase attempts. I’ve been using PayPal since 2012 and have never had to or would ever need to add a credit card to my account. Why are you urging me to add a credit card to my account when there is enough money in it? Is there a workaround for this? If not, I’ll just switch to a different provider.
Is this to say that I won’t be able to use PayPal to make purchases? I usually use instant top up to move funds from my non-linked bank account so that I can pay for things with my balance. If this is the end of the line for PayPal, it’s a shame.
So you’ve had your Paypal account for a long time but haven’t linked it to a credit card or bank account? That’s incredible! Will you be able to take my word for it if I bought anything for $800? You may not be my friend or something, but you can trust me :-). That’s essentially what you’re asking Paypal to do each time you make a purchase. Do you believe you could walk into a bank and get a loan without having any collateral or security? Paypal needs a way to take the money back from you in the blink of an eye if something goes wrong with one of your transactions or sales, and I’m shocked they haven’t already. Sorry, but that’s how it happens for them.

The credit card and bank accounts used as payment sources can be seen here. Don’t worry: PayPal will always remove funds from your account first, so in order to set up a regular payment, you’ll need credit cards linked to it and sufficient funds in them, so let’s find out:
It is important to note: Often the problem is that the credit card associated with your PayPal account and designated as the primary source of payment is expired or depleted. I suggest disabling all non-existent cards and accounts and keeping only the active ones as sources. After that, attempt the payment once more.
It takes a few days to add a method as a PayPal payment source. PayPal will make a new transaction on your account balance with a special ID code you will enter in your profile to confirm ownership in order to prove you are the actual owner of the specific credit card or bank account.

Nothing happens when I click “Add” in the PayPal popup after clicking “Pay Now with PayPal.” I know the account is legitimate because I’ve used it to buy products in the past, although in US dollars. The gui says the system won’t allow payment from accounts that are only protected by a credit card, but I’m not sure what to equate that to because I’m having a similar issue. When I want to add credit to my account, either my Paypal account or my Visa card job. At other programs, both operate without a hitch (last checked 3 days ago). When I try to add funds to my PayPal account (where you can choose from a variety of payment methods such as bitcoin or cash by mail), the interface says they don’t allow payment from accounts that are only protected with a credit card due to the rising prevalence of fraud.
