All was fine except the Microsoft security scanner, which returned this (VirTool: Win32 / DefenderTamperingRestore). To provide more detail, I will upload all of the logs from everything. Do you think it was just a Norton false positive and I’m fine, or do you see something wrong? I haven’t seen any issues or problems with results. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and assist me.
Getting the logs up here made me a little anxious. I wasn’t sure if they were the correct ones to upload or if doing so was legal. I removed them and would be happy to reupload them if they were useful. Please accept my apologies for my lack of information.
Please save the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool to your desktop after downloading it.
Notice that you must use the version that is compatible with your device. If you’re not sure whether your machine is 32-bit or 64-bit, you can look it up here.
MDNSResponder, also known as Bonjour, is Apple’s native zero-configuration networking process for Mac, which has been ported to Windows and is related to MDNSNSP.DLL. This software is used for virtually everything on a Mac or iOS computer when it comes to networking. This procedure is only needed on Windows for sharing libraries via iTunes and other Mac applications that have been ported to Windows, such as the Apple TV. Since Bonjour enables automatic network discovery, different computers running iTunes can communicate with each other regardless of network configuration.

How to allow/block a port number through windows firewall

Is this something that someone else is seeing? Is it important to be concerned? With all of the recent online privacy problems, I just want to make sure everything is in order. Norton may be a bit too violent at times, but it’s just tracking traffic.

@NCBBA11043, you have nothing to be concerned about. The outbound traffic in BIT is any time the weather is gathered from WUnderground, every 24 hours when BIT checks the BIT server for updates (if you have this option enabled), and sometimes BIT will search for “Push Notifications,” which is essentially reserved for me to push alerts to users for important updates or if there is ever a security update (also from the BIT server), and there may also be a security update.

Symantec Corporation’s Norton Internet Security was a computer software that used signatures and heuristics to detect viruses and provided malware detection and removal during a subscription cycle. A personal firewall, email spam filtering, and phishing security are also included in the product. After 14 years as the flagship Norton product, Symantec officially retired Norton Internet Security with the introduction of the 2015 line in summer 2014. Norton Safe, a rebranded version of the Norton 360 security suite, has replaced it. 1st
The product was available as a download, a packaged CD copy, and OEM software from Symantec. It was also available on a USB flash drive from some retailers. [two] In the first half of 2007, Norton Internet Security had a 61 percent market share in the retail security suite segment in the United States. Protection suites from CA, Inc., Trend Micro, and Kaspersky Lab were among the study’s competitors in terms of market share. [3] Peter Norton Computing was purchased by Symantec in August 1990. [4] Norton and his company produced a number of DOS-based applications, including an antivirus. Symantec continued to improve the acquired technologies, which were called “Norton” and sold with the tagline “from Symantec.” Norton’s crossed-arm pose, which is a registered trademark in the United States, was used on food packaging. [5] However, his pose was later shifted to the packaging’s spine, and then removed entirely.

Security or firewall settings might be blocking the connection

Hello, everybody! When I turned on my computer monitor earlier today, I saw a pop-up from my Norton 360 Security suite that said “Outbound Traffic Detected, We’ve discovered a lot of suspicious activity on your computer. Your personal computer
When I reviewed the logs after this happened, I found that Norton said “An intrusion attempt by 66.240.250 was blocked.” (The Security History Window/Popup had two of these instances or entries.) I’ve highlighted them in orange.
In the Security History Window/Popup, there is also an instance or entry that says Intrusion Prevention Auto Block has blocked IP: 66.240.205.34 for 30 minutes. (Circled in green in the screenshot above) When I went into the more details section of one of the intrusion attempts, it said System Infected: GhostNet Backdoor Activity 3 (the second entry or instance was called System Infected: GhostNet Backdoor Activity), and the traffic description was TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP, TCP,
After that, I ran Norton Power Eraser, which detected something, but I believe they were false positives because two of the files were Adobe CS2 installers that I downloaded from Adobe’s website, two were batch files that I created myself, and one was a batch file that I created myself.
