Who says biotech gear has to be boring? MiniOne Systems debuted their vibrant, colorful new PCR systems in beautiful shades of green, purple, orange, and blue at NSTA New Orleans this November… As you can see, the audience was enthralled by them!
These colorful PCR machines are just as energetic, effective, lightweight, and practical as their more subdued predecessors, with the added benefit of adding a splash of color to your lab. What is it that you have on your bench? Is it a video game console? Is that a colossal piece of candy? It’s the amazing MiniOne PCR device, the same one that’s causing a stir in the biotech education world.

Hello from rv joides resolution to nsta new orleans
We appreciate the time and effort put in by our conference committees to address the professional needs of our participants and the larger science education community, as well as their ongoing guidance as we re-imagine the conferences as a virtual experience in the fall. As soon as we have more details, we will let you know. Thank you for your patience and encouragement as we work through these unprecedented and frustrating times.
The Conference Committee has structured the conference around three strands that discuss issues of current relevance, allowing you to concentrate on a particular field of interest or need. This will help you make the most of the professional development resources available at the New Orleans conference.
Overpopulation, pollution, the consumption of fossil fuels, and deforestation are only a few of the ways humans have affected the physical world. As a result, extreme weather, invasive species, and land degradation continue to be threats in many parts of the world. Teachers must be prepared to teach sustainable practices and assist students in making connections between their behaviors and future effects on the world in order to minimize these processes. This often entails informing and partnering with environmentally conscious collaborators and stakeholders (shareholders). Teachers must build and promote learning opportunities that will help students understand not only how to rebuild our world, but also how to ensure its resiliency in the face of future events. Participants will learn how all realms of STEM function together to help save our world in this strand.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the New Orleans Area Conference of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) in 2020. From November 19 to 21, the conference will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
Volunteers can assist with registration, student guides, and special needs programs, among other things. You will be sent a code to use online to register for the conference after verifying your availability to volunteer for the required hours assigned by the conference committee. Please notice that registration details will be shared with you tentatively in August.
Individuals who volunteer for at least 8 hours can earn a 50% discount on the conference registration charge. Individuals who volunteer for at least 16 hours will be eligible for a full registration fee waiver.
