Deluge no incoming connections reddit

This tutorial will teach you how to speed up downloads in Deluge, a freeware bittorrent client. To reach the fastest download rates, all bittorrent programs must make their incoming and outgoing communications flow freely, which is what this guide is about.
This guide was created using information found on the forums, guides, and FAQs of bittorrent program developers. There are no hidden tricks here; only the fundamentals of how to properly set up a bittorrent program. The download speed should improve if you follow these easy measures.
There are some programs that claim to increase Deluge’s speed. These programs are usually a scam and contain adware or spyware. Nothing will improve your download speed in a bittorrent client more than the simple steps outlined here, according to the creators of all bittorrent programs.
Parts of this guide require you to use Deluge’s Options screens. The Options screens can be accessed by selecting “Edit” (then Preferences) from the upper left menu of Deluge, or by selecting the Options icon at the top of the page.

Thank you for your answer.

So I created a port in the client area and forwarded it through Deluge’s incoming connections.

I checked the port in the client, and it shows as properly forwarded (or a small green icon, which I assume means all is fine).

Unfortunately, I’m still not getting any incoming connections, which leads me to believe that my firewall is preventing them (which is strange since it didn’t happen with Private Internet Access).

If Air gives you the thumbs up, you’re good to go. If you have no incoming connections, it’s possible that no one is attempting to connect. I saw you’re using the ipleak.net test torrent. For that torrent, there will be no relations. Its sole purpose is to verify the IP address that your torrent client (deluge) is broadcasting to peers.

I installed thin client (again, thanks), as well as the ltConfig plugin. The most recent version of libtorrent is 1.1.5.0. By the way, do you know if a LabelPlus plugin for Deluge 2.0.3 is available? The test-button in the preference-menu worked in Deluge 1.3.15 as well. That one worked for me as well in 1.3.15. However, if you go into preferences and press the testing button under the network tab, the message in the lower corner disappears. For some reason, this is still not happening for me. The message in the lower corner never goes anywhere. Neither when I push the button nor when I see another client uploading via a forwarded port clearly. It may be the difference between libtorrent 1.1.5 and 1.2.3.
I checked 1.2.3 and 1.1.13, but never 1.1.5, so it’s possibly libtorrent associated.
Ltconfig is available for Deluge2, but configuring enabled/disabled(boolean) options from GTKUI is not possible; only settings without yes/no checkboxes can be modified. You can modify them in the deluge profile directory’s ltconfig.conf file or via the webui. All choices are read and used from the conf, and I’m just here to discuss changing them. ratanakvlun/deluge-ltconfig/releases https://github.com/ratanakvlun/deluge-ltconfig/releases
