After a start-up auto-update, I get an error message that says “Origin.exe-Bad Picture” any time I try to start up Origin or the games I want to play. C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32MSVCP140.dll is either incompatible with Windows or contains a bug. Attempt to reinstall the program using the original installation media, or request assistance from your system administrator or the software provider. “Error code 0xc0012f.” I’ve seen other responses to a similar mistake, the only difference is that mine says “140” instead of “120.dll.” I thought it was irrelevant, but considering that the solution to the other case did not improve my situation, I believe it is.

Dropbox was unable to open due to the error message described above. Both the Control Panel and the Uninstaller failed to uninstall. I downloaded a new installer and it worked without a hitch, but I couldn’t open it because there was no answer when I clicked open. In the Control Panel, I noticed that there are now two Dropbox accounts. Please give me some advice.

I’m getting the same message and having the same issue. I just finished building this new machine and installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 about a week ago. All was running smoothly. I went on vacation for a week, returned home, restarted the machine, and received this letter. I’ve had to restrar a few times. Bitdefender antivirus has been disabled. When I try to uninstall Dropbox, an error message appears saying “Windows cannot find C:Program Files (x86)DropboxClientDropboxUninstaller.exe.” Check that you typed the name correctly before trying again. To uninstall, I’m going to Windows – Settings – Applications & Features. I have used the Revo Uninstaller software that I installed on my computer. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

How to fix error status 0x000012f / msvcp140 dll in windows

When I recently had a hang and rebooted, it applied updates and hung, and I power cycled again (and it booted and hung again, which it does for some reason sometimes and then runs stably for a long time) and power cycled again, this time it came up and said the game site gog.com loader software galaxyclient.exe had an error:
Interesting, when I go to control panel; add/remove programs, I don’t see any versions of visual studio, but when I go to settings/system/Apps & features, I see six different versions of visual studio, none of which are 2015.
The problem is that we have no idea which version it needs you to alter. I believe the program is looking for a specific version of the dll, but I’m not sure. I’m curious as to how you found out. We know we need to substitute a version of the X86 code, but we don’t know which version the game needs. If it’s Gog, you’ll have to find out which one it prefers.
Thank you so much for your assistance. Could you please explain what the DISM part does? When I ran the SFC, it said it had found no honesty violations. That’s not the same as ‘had issues with fixing.’ Can I still run the DISM after that?
