Android lollipop : how to set video recording as size limit

I hold a short mp4 video clip of an old cartoon on my phone and send it via MMS every now and then. The video is just 5 seconds long, with a resolution of 480×360 pixels and a file size of 204kB. On a T-mobile Android 4.1.1 Prism II, I sent this video file dozens of times without error using the default messaging app.
My new phone is a T-mobile LG Leon running Android 5.1.1, and it refuses to send the video file through MMS using the default messaging app. The LG Leon says “video too big” when I try to connect the file.
This is NOT a file size cap for attachments. The maximum size of an MMS attachment file on this phone is 1024kB. I’m trying to attach a video file that’s just 204kB in size. “Attachment size limit exceeded” is the error message when the attachment size limit is exceeded. That is NOT the message I am receiving. “Video is too big,” it says.
Many devices will send messages that are larger than the intercarrier file size limit (typically 300-600 KB). A message that exceeds the limits of the other carrier is ignored and never reaches its intended recipient.

When it comes to changing the cap, there are many things to consider. Yes, any limits may be changed, but they are generally in effect for a reason. As Zuul pointed out (see comment below), you may be able to send a message as big as 1MB, but that doesn’t mean the recipient will be able to receive (let alone read) it. Consider the 300kB limit as the “smallest common denominator” between your phone’s capabilities, your carrier’s capabilities, and the receiver’s capabilities.
So, if you’re confident in what you’re doing (say, you know your phone can handle 500k, the recipient’s phone can handle 500k, and both carriers support it), raising the limit could allow you to send 500k MMS to that recipient while failing to do so with others.
This was never a concern for me. I use email when I need to send a post. It’s less expensive than MMS and fits for tablets, PCs, Macs, and… The receiver has a “older phone model” that does not support email. But, because it’s unlikely that it can handle MMS, I’ll have to stick to 160 characters with SMS asking him to search his mail 🙂

The use of the folder name “bulk mail” on your picture suggests that yahoo is involved in some way. They’re the only provider I’ve ever heard of that uses that name for a folder. All else used SPAM and JUNK in some form.
Thunderbird has blocked remote information, so at least one image is involved, according to the image. Since the ‘Size’ column header is not allowed, there is no information about the actual size of the email.
* Outgoing Mail Size (SMTP Relay) — The maximum size of an email message sent via SMTP is 30MB, including file attachments, which are limited to a total of 20MB. Our outgoing server rejects messages larger than 30MB, and you will be notified.

I’d like to figure out which note(s) are causing this message to appear so that I can either delete it or find a better solution. How can I say the notes are larger than 50 megabytes? On iOS, I don’t see a way to decide the note size other than opening each one individually and clicking the I button in the corner for details. I’d hate to have to sift through hundreds of notes to find the one you’re searching for…and it’s the same note you’re looking for, right? In which case, at least on EN-for-Windows, which I use, there is a way to recognize which notes aren’t syncing…I’ll search through my notes to see if I have anything for you.
None of the photos in my notes of images are this big as I scroll through them. How would you explain it? When anything contains an image, all I see in the iOS interface is a small thumbnail. Aside from that, I’d have to go in and check the size of it….and it’s the exact note you’re looking for, correct? In which case, at least on EN-for-Windows, which I use, there is a way to recognize which notes aren’t syncing…I’ll search through my notes to see if I have anything for you.
