Message app for lollipop
Set your default sms app on android lollipop
Hello, everybody! I own a Z2, which I recently updated to Lolipop. However, I have a problem with a message program that wastes a lot of room. To get through the texts, I have to scroll more than before. The whole left side of the first message is wasted pixels. The right side of the second message is the same way. If I can get those pixels, this message would be no more than three lines long. Is there a way to adjust this interface so that I can use the whole screen? In Kitkat, there was no such problem with the messages being shown in separate boxes; instead, they were shown on the phone. Could anyone kindly assist me in resolving this? Thank you so much. And best wishes, Samadhi is the Sanskrit word for peace.

Devices running Android Lollipop out of the box (such as the Motorola-made Nexus 6) come with a brand new Messenger app that looks and sounds different from the Messaging app found on KitKat and Jelly Bean. Changing your Messenger app to Hangouts or a third-party app is easy, whether you have the new Messenger app or the old Messaging app. To begin, open your Messenger / Messaging app and select the menu button on the right side (either in the top corner, or in the bottom corner). Then, tap on Settings, which will pull up a menu with the option to “Change your default SMS app.” Your device’s Wireless & networks menu will open after you tap on that (you can also access this from your device’s general settings). Once there, go to “Default SMS app” and choose whatever choice you think would fit you best. That’s what there is to it.

This app was not available in the initial edition of Android 5.0 Lollipop. It’s here to take the place of your Android’s old Messages app. While we will have two applications designed to monitor the messages received on our Android when installing it in previous versions of the operating system, we can easily solve this in versions of Android Kit Kat by choosing this new application as the Default application to open received SMS and MMS messages.
