These courses were planned to be on par with other first-year university courses. If the students succeed in the AP programs, they may be eligible for advanced placement, credit, or exemptions when they enter university.
The number of students who scored at or above the proficiency level on their standardized state achievement tests are shown in the tables of math and language proficiency. Despite the fact that these measures are standardized for each state, they can differ from one state to the next. Comparing the outcomes of one state to that of another isn’t always a fair or reliable comparison.

Although the school has a lot of diversity and some excellent teachers, some of the teachers (particularly temporary teachers) don’t seem to care. I’ve heard many stories of teachers who are unable to monitor their pupils, who then become overwhelmed and avoid teaching, only handing out paperwork with no guidance on how to complete the assignments in the classroom. Furthermore, the government is not well-prepared. For example, there were insufficient yearbooks (I wonder if students should pay up front and then the school orders the books so they know how many to order?). In addition, student conduct needs to be improved, as there seem to be a few students who create a lot of distraction, which has a detrimental effect on learning (kids stealing things out of gym lockers, students acting out in class, some bullying, etc.). On the plus side, extra support is available some Saturday mornings during the school year, and the majority of the teachers are compassionate and skilled.
Divide the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers to get the student/teacher ratio. Please bear in mind that a lower student-to-teacher ratio does not always mean a smaller class size. Schools occasionally employ part-time teachers, and some teachers are hired for specialized teaching with limited class sizes. The student-to-teacher ratio is influenced by these and other factors. Pre-Kindergarten may not be included in the student/teacher ratio in private schools.
