China memes

Chinos del nuevo coronavirus memes 14 abril 2020 / Nerina Piedra Molina Today, everybody is infected with the coronavirus. This virus, which originated in China, has evolved into a global threat that requires us to remain confined to our homes until the situation calms down and returns to normal, as it is doing in China. The everyday routine has become more engrossing, such as exercising, cooking, watching TV shows, playing video games, and… making memes.
It’s critical to maintain a positive attitude in this situation, so many memes have been created to make the quarantine more entertaining and engaging, satirizing topics such as the virus’s origin, quarantine effects, security uniforms, and the use of mascarillas, among others. In China, of course, there have been none, and during these challenging months, they have produced a huge corpus of memes. We’ve compiled a list of some of them that have been made, used, and shared by young Chinese people.

Near the Paracel Islands, other Navy operations have taken place. The US Navy posted the following meme on its Instagram page after the most recent freedom-of-navigation activity.

China’s spicy memes

Internet memes, which were once considered to be funny, childish, and casual, are now becoming an integral part of a sophisticated marketing strategy. While memes can and do cause havoc in our communities, especially in our electoral processes, we invite you to think about a broader concept of memetic speech that enables everyone’s voice to be heard equally. Artists use their imaginations to amplify, draw on, and disseminate messages from underrepresented social movements.
We’re sharing these techniques with you to help spread the word about the power of innovative public initiatives. None of these projects is created purely as “art” to be shown on a wall: they function in the same way as our favorite memes, appearing both online and offline and inspiring others to connect with and spread them. Send your own papers, make your own zine, broadcast your own songs, and sew a patch on your jacket. Make it fashionable, make it a trend, and make it famous.
