Every winner will receive a $50,000 prize as well as a bronze sculpture. Individuals and their attempts to improve human potential through education will be recognized in three categories: K-12, Higher Education, and International Education.
Any individual who meets the nomination criteria is eligible to be nominated for the McGraw Prize. The Award honors individuals who have “dedicated themselves to improving education and whose contributions have a positive impact.”
Independent researchers screen nominees, and a respected jury of peers recommends three finalists to the executive committee in each category. The winners in each category are chosen by the executive committee, which includes Terry McGraw, David Levin (CEO of McGraw-Hill Education), and Michael Crow (President of Arizona State University).
