I’m not sure how to replicate it; it just so happened that I received a popup indicating that real-time security was switched off. I took a look and discovered that ransomware security has been disabled, and I am unable to turn it back on. It was previously switched on.
Hello, @Earl- We apologize for the inconvenience. I’m glad you found this article and that the fix worked for you as well. We’re working on a solution, but getting it completely tested and into a new release will take some time.

[solved] malwarebytes malware protection won’t turn on

I’m unable to activate my real-time defense. Why? I’m not sure. I’ve been following all of the ideas suggested in the forums. What I’ve tried so far and still can’t get it to work: 1. Restart the Windows Security program 2. Remove any antivirus program that was installed by a third party. 3. Install the latest version of Windows 4. Perform an SFC Scan 5. Clean Up Your Boot 6. Run a malware scan on your computer.

Create a new subject, give it a relevant title, and attach your log(s) to it, along with a brief overview of your issue, a list of any anti-malware tools you’ve used, and a list of any steps you’ve taken on your own. Start a new topic even if you can’t generate all of the appropriate logs. Explain why you were unable to build the logs after following the Prep. Guide, and what happened when you attempted to do so. A member of the Malware Removal Team will take you through the process of cleaning your machine step by step.

How to fix windows defender not turning on

Since I got this software last year, I’ve had a lot of issues with real time not turning on. Anyway, here’s the most recent part. A few days ago, Windows modified on its own. After that, “Web Protection, Malware Protection, and Randomeware Protection” were all turned off, and no matter how many times I clicked them, they would not turn back on. Nothing happens when you click them; they don’t even go to the standard yellow highlight until they crash, or green when they’re on. My machine has also started turning on by itself from sleep mode in the middle of the night, around 3:30 a.m. Malwarebytes does not find anything after a scan. The only thing that seems to be off is that Firefox ‘crashes’ after I’ve closed it for a while. That is, it continues to run in the background even though I close it. uBlock Origin, HTTPS Anywhere, and Malwarebytes Beta are the extensions I’ve built. I’d appreciate it if anyone could explain what’s going on. It was patched with a clean install using the support tool. 4 responses 100 percent upvoted by sharesavehidereport This discussion has been closed.
