Introducing the steam student set
No previous experience is required for educators of all levels to bring STEAM learning to life. With detailed lessons and guides, we will walk you through each stage. Students interact with electronics by completing eight tasks that increase in complexity, as well as ten educator-friendly lessons. Students are encouraged to think creatively and develop and engineer solutions to real-world issues when Art is included in STEM. The 120-page Teacher’s Guide encourages you to expand on concepts.

Welcome to littlebits
It’s easy to teach. It’s fun to use. The littleBits STEAM Student Package makes it easy to carry efficient STEM/STEAM learning into the classroom or at home. The toolbox, which was created in collaboration with educators, engages students in learning by allowing them to create innovations that are linked to NGSS/Common Core standards.
I was hoping that this would be a good match for my middle school students. It wowed them on the first day, but interest soon waned. The kit claims to be able to accommodate up to four students, but only if they are working on completely different projects. I believe this is best suited to two students, or even one. Given how simplistic it is, it is probably best suited to upper elementary students rather than middle schoolers. Since today’s kids don’t seem to “dabble” as much as previous generations, the novelty of this kit can fade after they’ve completed it.

Sphero’s ShopSharelittleBits platform is a collection of simple electronic building blocks that allow you to create anything from a remote-controlled car to a smart home computer. No soldering, wiring, or programming is needed to put the Bits together.
Each of the colorful BitsTM has a specific function (for example, motion, lights, sound, sensors, and internet connectivity), and they all snap together with magnets to form larger circuits. Building circuits is simple and intuitive, enabling students to quickly construct efficient, sophisticated electronics. Educators and students will extend their Bit set and participate in increasingly complex projects as their knowledge of the framework and Bits expands.
