3. Put the apparatus together. With the clear tubing, attach the white rubber stopper to the Gas Pressure Sensor. (A half-turn of the fittings would securely secure the tubing.) Make sure the sensor’s valve is open. To seal the Erlenmeyer flask, curl the white stopper snugly into the neck. Make sure the valve on the unused link is turned off.
4. In the Advanced Chemistry with Vernier folder, open the file “30b Gases.” Using Selected Events Mode, this file is set up to collect pressure and temperature data from the attached sensors. By pressing the [Keep] button, you can collect a data pair from the Gas Pressure Sensor and Temperature Probe at the same time.
