Meaning of symbols g, e, 2g, 3g, h, h+ and 4g – reason for
Hi, I’ve had a Galaxy S9 for a year and it’s been fantastic. I recently upgraded the program to the most recent version and found that my 4G no longer functions. The sign is visible, but only the arrow UP is illuminated at all times. The DOWN arrow isn’t working. I called my provider, who said there was no issue. They gave me a new SIM card, but it didn’t work. The 4G link works fine when I use this SIM card in an old S6 unit. So I assume the issue is with my Samsung Galaxy S9. Maybe it’s unrelated to the update, but I don’t believe it’s a coincidence. Is anybody else having this issue? Is there a solution? Hot regards Jari is a character in the film Jari
My S9 doesn’t have a 4G symbol either.
The modem is set to 4G.
When I turn off the wifi, however, the 4G or 4G+ sign appears.
As a consequence, I assume the S9 prioritizes using wifi, and when wifi is inaccessible, the S9 turns to 4G.

The letter “E” that appears on the left upper side of your screen (sometimes beside or underneath the network signal) stands for EDGE or E-GPRS (high-speed data network) whether it is accessible in your region or supported by your operator. You can set it to “always” if you like.
The instruction manual is terible. The big E appeared on my screen after I used a connection in an SMS to download an app to my computer. In Thailand, DTAC offers EDGE/GPRS access points, but not for free. As a result, if you see a large E or G, you’ve already charged a bill.
You’ll only be fined if an E symbol with a border appears, so don’t be worried if only an E or G appears. They’re perfectly natural. If you want to get rid of the symbol when you aren’t using the internet, change the connection settings to ‘when open’. -package
Meaning of g, 2g, e, 3g, h, h+, 4g, 4g+ in mobile internet
The @ sign, also known as the at mark, commercial at, or address sign, is usually read aloud as “at.” It is most often used in email addresses and social media site handles as an accounting and invoice abbreviation meaning “at a cost of” (e.g. 7 widgets @ £2 per widget = £14).
Due to the lack of a single English word for the sign, some authors have substituted the French arobase or the Spanish and Portuguese arroba, or coined new terms such as ampersat,, asperand,, and strudel,, but none of these have gained widespread acceptance. Alphasand is a word that is often used, especially in East Asia. [requires citation]
While it was not on the keyboards of the first commercially successful typewriters, it was on at least one model from 1889 and the highly popular Underwood models from the “Underwood No. 5” in 1900 onward. It first appeared in email addresses in the 1970s and is now used on all computer keyboards.
In a Bulgarian version of a Greek chronicle written by Constantinos Manasses in 1345, the earliest symbol in this form has been discovered. The @ symbol replaces the capital letter alpha “” in the word Amen, and it is kept in the Vatican Apostolic Library today. It’s unclear why it was used in this case. There is no record of the symbol’s evolution into what it is today.

According to DIN 5008, the Adresszeichen can be used in texts aimed at many well-known individuals to simplify the communication between them. The Speicheradresse of a variable is defined with @ in some programming languages, such as the Delphi development environment’s version of Object Pascal. var p: Pointer; d: Double; begin p := @d; end; finds the address of the Gleitkommavariable d and stores it in the Zeigervariables p, for example.
Since Mac OS 9.1, the symbol has been shown as the third prefix on German Apple keyboards and can be entered using the Wahltaste. Prior to that, it was set to ++1. On Swiss Apple-Tastatures, the symbol appears as the third belegung on the G-Taste, thus +G.
