Grade tracking sheet
How to create a grade book in google sheets
This is a compilation of first-grade selection target recording sheets. Individual students may meet with their teachers to review and record their progress. Students can talk about and set their own objectives. Later, when they master each skill based on the Common Core Norm, they will color in parts. Fountas and Pinnell reading levels are included on the reading goal sheets. The NGSS are included on the Science goal sheet. This is useful for creating a student’s portfolio, monitoring growth, and encouraging students to take care of their education. For more details, go to Ms. M’s Classroom!

Microsoft excel: how to track student progress (using grades
This free Excel Gradebook Template began as a simple grade book spreadsheet, but it has since evolved into something much more useful, versatile, and strong (and still free). We now have a variety of grade books that can accommodate the majority of the major grading systems used in high school and college.
The ability to mark excused tasks, hide/show names or IDs, apply different weighting to homework and exams, apply a simple curve to the final grades, and make changes to the grading scale are just a few of the features that make this template especially useful. You may also add cell comments and format cells to highlight individual grades since the gradebook is in Excel rather than an online gradebook system.
This method is widely used in high schools and for courses like art and literature that require more subjective marking. The grade for each assignment is given as a percentage. A measurement, such as winning 25 out of 30 points, may be used to calculate the percentage. Alternatively, the percentage may be measured using results or a subjective letter grade. The beauty of this system is that you can use whatever strategy makes sense for the task at hand. If you’re not sure which template to use, I recommend going with the percentage-based option.
Track your grades in google spreadsheet
Note: As you can see, I’m following Robert Marzano’s fantastic novel, The Art and Science of Teaching, which I highly recommend. It’s fine if you haven’t had the chance to read it yet! Continue reading, and I guarantee you won’t need the book to set up student data monitoring!
Thanks to these Student Data Monitoring Binders, over 75% of my class was WELL ABOVE GRADE LEVEL in math and English Language Arts, as I reported in a previous article. Oh, my goodness! I’m not a professional educator, but I believe in these approaches, which is why I enjoy sharing the results.
Every student should have their own Student Data Tracking Binder when it comes to tracking their own data (learning and progress). This allows them to keep track of their own success in the unit (math or ELA) in your classroom.
I developed and posted learning goals for my students using these Student Data Tracking Binders. I also let my students use the learning principles to build and set their own learning goals. My “I can” or “We can” statements posters, which are written in kid language and are really easy to understand, influenced all of my students’ learning goals. These are available in my shop.
