Harold Cronk directed God’s Not Dead, a 2014 American Christian drama film starring Kevin Sorbo, Shane Harper, David A. R. White, and Dean Cain. Pure Flix Entertainment released the film in theaters on March 21, 2014. [number four]
The film follows a Christian college student (Harper) whose faith is questioned by an atheist philosophy professor (Sorbo), who declares God a pre-scientific fiction. It was written by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman and is based on Rice Broocks’ book God’s Not Dead: Proof for God in an Age of Doubt. On a $2 million budget, it grossed over $62 million despite largely negative reviews. [three] The film depicts the evangelical narrative[5] of Christians being persecuted in the United States, with a focus on the stereotype of colleges as “atheist factories.” [7] The film was chastised for relying on straw men claims and stereotypes of atheists rather than a genuine discussion. [eight] [nine] [4] Josh Wheaton, an Evangelical Christian college student, enrolls in an atheist Professor Jeffrey Radisson’s philosophy class. To graduate, Radisson needs his students to sign a declaration that “God is gone.” Josh is the only one of the students who declines to participate. Radisson insists on Josh debating the subject with him, but he decides to let his other students choose the winner.

A church was demolished. The congregation fell silent. A friendship had come to an end. Even in the deepest valleys of life, a small flame will provide hope and healing. Hadleigh University leaders use a lethal fire to drive the congregation off campus, forcing the church to protect its rights and bringing estranged brothers together for a reconciliation that exposes old wounds and pushes them to discuss the problems that drove them apart.
As a first-time manager, Michael Manson did an excellent job.
The first few installments of the “God’s Not Dead” series were incredibly cheesy. In the first few films, the villains were stereotypical atheists who bordered on cartoonish. GND3 seemed to have genuine characters with genuine problems and questions about their religion. It effectively addresses the issues with Christian victimology without being overbearing. v The issue with this film is that it has far too many needless scenes. There are some tedious periods of time that should have been eliminated. I grant it points for trying to approach a different point of view than the originals, including some serious slow bits.
