The Public Works Department of the City of Goddard contributes to the community’s vision by effectively managing the city’s infrastructure. The department offers skilled maintenance services with an emphasis on the beautification of city corridors, neighbourhoods, public areas, and our high-quality parks and recreation system in order to promote a thriving community that is growing and open to our neighbors. By directly participating in these ways, the City of Goddard Public Works Department claims that we are fostering a healthy, lively, and open environment for both our residents and visitors.
The public works department maintains city streets on a regular basis, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, street sign maintenance, and streetlight maintenance, with the goal of keeping Goddard clean and accessible. The Pavement Preservation Program, an annual street reconstruction program in which public works workers partner with local contractors to provide large-scale upgrades to streets across the city that are in need of repair, is also overseen by the public works department.
