Isn’t it amazing that we’re all in quarantine? Neither do I! With the additional drinks on the to-go menu, BB’s Tex-Orleans is making your lives a little bit easier. Let’s hear from Alyssa Ryde, the lead bartender at our Heights place, about the latest Big Beverage Bang.
BB’s is said to have new seltzers. Could you tell us something about the flavors? We now have a total of six new seltzers. Truly Pineapple and Truly Strawberry Lemonade are available. White Claw Ruby Grapefruit and White Claw Black Cherry are available. The Shotgun seltzers are my personal favorites. We have their Bramble, which is a blackberry and lemon flavor, as well as their Ranch Water, which is a lime and agave flavor with a 6.9% ABV.
Your to-go drink menu has just been updated. Could you explain the variations in a little more detail? The menu has updated slightly to include our six new seltzers as well as our Frozen TO GO cocktails, which include the Red Headed Wompus Cat, Mango Rita, Raspberry Rita, Abita Rita, and the Texas Twister.

Many people, I believe, can relate to the challenge of needing an inexpensive, nutritious meal on-the-go without sacrificing flavor. Personally, after eating Chipotle all the time in college, I was Chipotle’d out, because let’s face it, with the added cheese, sour cream, and guacamole, my lunch becomes a day’s worth of calories quicker than they can tell me that the guac is extra. That’s why I’m delighted that Salad and Go has arrived to meet the Valley’s need for affordable, safe fast food.
Salad and Go opened their first location in early 2013 (on the southeast corner of Gilbert Rd. and Guadalupe Rd.). Since then, they’ve added three more outlets to their drive-thru salad shop concept in Gilbert and Mesa, with three more coming soon in other sections of the Valley. Executive Chef Daniel Patino, an award-winning chef, is in charge of the delectably fresh and flavor-packed menu. Chef Patino has years of fine dining experience, according to the Salad and Go website. Salad and Go’s menu has been crafted by someone of exceptional gastronomic aptitude, having served in acclaimed restaurants in New York City (Daniel) and Chicago (Charlie Trotter’s), then as the executive chef at Arcadia Modern American Steakhouse in San Jose and Bourbon Steak in Scottsdale. Every bite is salad heaven, from using seasonal ingredients to making all of their dressings from scratch in small batches. Here are a few salads I recently had the pleasure of trying:
