Get desktop mode permanently in chrome & firefox on

The latest firefox for Android is optimized for use on mobile devices and is a failure in terms of usability; the tab management is worse than before; this “list mode” for tabs in a tablet consumes a lot of space; the previous tab management in “icon mode” is more useful since you don’t use a tablet with one hand, while this new firefox is designed to be used in a celular with one hand.
I’m not sure why I can’t have icons for “previous and next page,” “refresh,” “bookmarks,” and so on in the interface; it’s ridiculous to have to do two “clicks” on screen when there’s plenty of empty room on the screen to place the icons and tab management.

Firefox developer tools: selecting a device in responsive

I’m seeing the entire desktop UI, but in vertical mode, the wide left menu squashes the screen into a tiny vertical column, making it unusable. Is there a way to make it send me the mobile interface? (or at least the hamburger to hide the left UI)
The actual screen resolution is 2,400 x 1,600, but the browser interprets it as 1600×949 due to UI scaling… I also prefer to use Firefox ‘split screened’ with other applications, so my actual browser window size is detected as 800×845; if I shrink the width down to 730×845, the hamburger appears.
