Show lost passwords in firefox!

Apparently, pressing ctrl+Shift+R on the server, rather than just refreshing with a regular ctrl+R, allowed me to get back online in the ESR with my downgraded profile and passwords showing up!
Finally, I set up sync in ESR and then updated to the latest version of Firefox. I was signed in and, thanks to sync, I could see all of my passwords in the latest version of Firefox!!
Okay, so I went back to 72.0.2, disconnected from the internet to avoid auto-updating, and tried to copy my old profile, but it kept telling me that I needed to build a new profile because my old one was from a new version of Firefox and something about it could be corrupted in an older version, blah blah blah.

Firefox bookmarks not working || firefox profile missing

With the most recent Windows update, I lost all of my passwords through all of my browsers. Any time I call for help, I’m led to a page where I can “save” passwords. They’re still there, which means they can be saved. I’m asked if I want to save every time I sign on to a website. Yeah, I always say, but it never saves. Since I couldn’t remember my passwords because they were all saved before the upgrade, I had to change them all and write them down. To say the least, this is infuriating. Please, Dee, if you use one of the more advanced browsers, passwords almost always function properly. Signing in to Chrome or Firefox helps you to sync passwords, Preferences, history, and other data so that all you have to do is sign in on any device to get it back to where it was.
Edge has not yet matured to the point that it can be relied upon for this. I wouldn’t depend on it; instead, use Firefox or Chrome, which will not let you down or lose your data if you remain signed in. Another plus is that if you sign up, it rarely signs you out; you have to go and do it yourself. As a result, you’re unlikely to risk anything.

Restore, reveal and recover saved password in windows 10

When I opened Firefox the other day, it had been updated. I don’t use AVG, and when I look up the issue, this is the only thing I find. Many OF MY PASSWORDS HAVE BEEN LOST AS A RESULT OF THE Recent FIREFOX UPGRADE. I am in a terrible mood. How do I get these back?

Do you have a file called logins.json.corrupt in your Firefox profile folder? I presume you don’t use AVG because you’ve learned of this problem affecting AVG apps, but it can also affect Avast (the same company as AVG) and other protection applications.
If you don’t see it, go to Firefox’s about:profiles tab. Do you notice that there are many profiles listed? If that’s the case, try clicking the Launch profile in new browser button next to one of the other profiles to see if your passwords have been saved. It’s likely that when Firefox was modified, a new profile was developed for you, and Firefox is now loading that one by default.

How to view stored passwords in firefox.

I’m running Windows 7 (64-bit). All of my Firefox logins and passwords have mysteriously vanished. I found the logins.json file in the “Old Firefox Data” folder on my desktop after reading several threads about it. However, the only data in that folder dates from 2018, which is more than two years ago. What happened to my yesterday’s logins and passwords?

I saw some posts about a “Sync” add-on that could store passwords, but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t relate to me because this machine doesn’t exchange any data with other computers. It’s not expected to, at least.
