How to send a dm on discord (direct message) – desktop

Discord forever changed the idea of instant messaging and group chats when it was released. You may have used AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, or the newer Skype a decade ago—two of which are no longer available, and the latter of which has suffered greatly due to Discord’s popularity.
We had never seen what it was like to have a messaging service that saved our contact history in the cloud forever before Discord. You’ll need a third-party plugin to store running logs on AIM or MSN locally. Text logs on Skype are now only kept in the cloud for 30 days.
To others, preserving message history permanently is a fantastic thing. It’s a nightmare for some. In a blog post from January 2017, Discord explained how they can store billions of messages, and it doesn’t appear that this policy will change anytime soon. Users on Discord still have no way to erase their DM history in bulk.
This can seem to be a time-consuming and frustrating procedure at first, but once you get into a routine, deleting each message takes just a second. It takes a lot less concentration to press several buttons than it does to shift the cursor to various areas of the screen.

Is it possible to give yourself a DM? This is something I do sometimes when I’m on my phone and come across a connection or something else that I’d like to look at on my screen. I swear I used to be able to send myself a connection, but now I get a message that says, “Your message could not be transmitted because you don’t share a server with the recipient or you disabled direct messages on your shared server.” 3 responses 100 percentsavehidereportsavehidereportsavehidereportsa Voted up This discussion has been closed. Simply name the role order, then choose which role you want the bot to assign to the human. Features that can be added on Set the required role to the role you’re assigning, not the role you’re assigning. If you want to prevent the user from removing the function via the role-menu, you shouldn’t set the ignore role to the role you’re assigning. Require position: Requires an individual to have a specific role before they can assign it to themselves.
Syndicate: Placed the role in a community of positions (will be explained more further down). Groups of People In Different Roles If you want to create a role menu, you’ll need role groups. Role classes are useful for enforcing limits on a set of roles, such as the ability to only have one of two roles, and so on. They’re also needed if you’re going to make a function menu. Simply give the role group a name and then choose which mode you want it to use to build one. Any position group, even Ungrouped, has the option of removing all roles within that group; other groups are unaffected. Take care of that; it’s real and irreversible. Discord is an online networking tool similar to Skype and TeamSpeak, as well as technical communication channels such as Slack. It allows users to connect in a number of ways, including video calls, voice chat, and email. I’ll try to cover anything you may need to know in order to use it in this manual. If you have any more questions after reading the manual and FAQ, please contact me at [email protected] with the subject “Discord Decoded.”
Discord may be used in the browser or as an application. If you run it in the browser, you won’t even need an account. If you want to use Discord on a regular basis, I highly urge you to download the software because you will then be able to use it to its full potential. Some settings aren’t available in the browser, so you’ll need the app to get the most out of your alerts. The app can also login when your operating system starts up, saving you time.
When you open Discord after downloading it, the first thing you’ll see is the login page. It should resemble the illustration below. You’ll be able to login if you’ve already built a Discord account; if you haven’t, you can do so here. Please try logging in!
