In order to move schools forward in today’s world, continuous reflection and learning are needed. The world around us is changing. Workplaces are evolving. The public’s expectations are shifting. As a consequence, if development and progress are the priorities, teaching, learning, and leadership must change. It necessitates that all leaders, regardless of title, pursue answers to important questions that can pave the way for creative ideas aimed at improving results for all students while also improving relationships with stakeholders.
Leaders’ practices for establishing a culture of learning that is meaningful, research-based, and embedded in relationships must evolve as the times do. People are at the core of digital leadership, and how their collective behaviors, when aligned with new thinking, ideas, and resources, will help to develop communities that are ready to thrive. Collaborative leadership: six influences that matter most

I pick up Digital Leadership by Eric Sheninger just as I’ve read many articles about teachers leaving the education sector and have a renewed passion for preparing my students for their future. We don’t have wifi at our school right now because “teachers are online buying stuff.” I’m in the process of finding out how to approach our administration on how to best prepare our teachers and students for the real world, and this book has been a huge source of inspiration and information.
