Samsung galaxy s5: how to hide file contents with pin or

On the Galaxy S5, Samsung has provided a very useful Private mode feature that is concealed deep inside the Settings menu. However, the functionality has been implemented somewhat differently than on rival devices such as the LG G2. Instead of launching a new guest mode that hides all of your personal data from outsiders, the Galaxy S5 enables users to mask personal information that is only available when private mode is activated.
Although this isn’t quite as useful as LG’s Guest mode, it’s still better than none. Here’s how to use the Galaxy S5’s Private mode to keep your personal information secure from prying eyes.
Step 1: Navigate to the handset’s cluttered Settings menu and look for the Private mode option under Personalization. You may use this to mask those data from the Gallery, Music Player, Voice Recorder, and Video files. You’re out of luck if you’re trying to protect some other info.
Phase 2: Move on to the next step, where you’ll be asked to create a new password. You’ll be prompted to swipe your finger over the scanner if you’re already using the fingerprint scanner as your lock screen protection. If you like, you can also create a PIN, Pattern, or Password. You’ll have to enter this password any time you want to use Private mode from now on.

As a result, I’ve divided this guide into two sections: Anything else, like Galaxy cameras. Keep in mind that these settings might not be exactly the same on all devices, but you’ll be near.
For this tutorial, I’ll be using a Nexus 6P with stock Android, but the procedure will be the same on all other current-generation Nexus devices. On HTC, Motorola, and LG devices, the menu will look quite similar, though the wording and location inside the menu can differ slightly.

How do you know if you have the most recent software update?
When a software update is available, most phones will notify you and nag you about it before you give in and install it. You may, however, verify this for yourself.
Pick the top item – Software Update – from the Galaxy S5’s Settings screen, then scroll down to About Device. You’ll see a choice to Update Now here. This scans for recent (or downloaded) updates and asks if you want to install them.
