If you can’t stay 2 metres apart from someone who isn’t in your household or support bubble, you should stay 1 metre apart with extra measures in place (such as wearing face coverings).
You can no longer cover if you are clinically highly weak. You can, however, continue to follow the guidelines for people who are clinically highly vulnerable and are encouraged to take extra measures to protect yourself. It’s important that you keep the number of social interactions to a minimum and try to minimize the amount of time you spend in situations where you can’t maintain social distance.
The vaccines have been shown to minimize the risk of serious illness in the vast majority of people. Since no vaccine, like all drugs, is 100% safe, those who have obtained it should continue to take the recommended precautions to prevent infection.
When meeting someone outside, if you are entitled to create a support bubble, you and your support bubble count as one household against the cap of two households. This means that you and your support bubble will meet with another household, even though the total number of people in the community exceeds six.

The vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech is currently approved for people aged 16 and up. According to recent data, the vaccine is 100 percent safe and well tolerated in children aged 12 to 15, and health experts agree that children in that age group may be vaccinated as early as this fall. By the end of the year, data from vaccine trials for children as young as five years old will be available.
The vaccine, which is currently only available to adults, may be available to children by September, according to Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Macaya Douoguih, head of clinical development and medical affairs at J&J’s vaccine arm Janssen, said, “We will perform multiple immunogenicity and safety trials in children from 17 years of age down to neonates.”
Moderna’s vaccine is currently only available to people aged 18 and up. Coronaviruses are a massive virus family. Some coronaviruses cause cold-like symptoms in humans, while others cause illness in animals such as horses, camels, and bats. Canine and feline coronaviruses, for example, infect only animals and do not infect humans.
Infected pets can become ill or display no symptoms at all. The rest of the sick pets only had a minor infection and were able to completely recover. Serious illness in dogs and cats continues to be exceedingly uncommon.
There is no proof that the virus can be transmitted to humans by pet skin, fur, or hair. Do not use chemical disinfectants, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other products like hand sanitizer, counter-cleaning wipes, or other industrial or surface cleaners to wipe or bathe your cat. If you have any concerns about what items to use to bathe or clean your cat, contact your veterinarian.
The tests must be performed no more than 48 hours before entering Germany at the required test centers abroad (time of the swab). In countries where such a test is not feasible, airlines can conduct the tests themselves or hire a third party to do so.
Antigen experiments and nucleic acid amplification technology processes (PCR, LAMP, TMA) are approved. Antigen rapid tests are approved if they meet the WHO’s minimum requirements. The use of antibody tests is not permitted.
Travellers aged six and up who have been in a high incidence area or a virus variant area in the ten days prior to entry into Germany must bring proof of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection testing with them and present it to the competent authorities upon request and, if necessary, to the transportation company prior to travel.
Travellers who visited any other risk area (neither a high occurrence area nor a virus variant area) during the ten days prior to entering Germany must have a test result within 48 hours of entry and present it to the competent authorities upon request.
