How to disable annoying popups, and alerts in avast

I updated Windows 10 yesterday, and now I’m getting avast security popups on the right side of my screen telling me that I need to install their product to finish the update. I don’t use avast, and it’s not installed on my computer. This has to be coming from inside.
After installing and agreeing not to use the free version of Avast antivirus. I figured I had deleted the files from my monitor, but then this irritating screen appeared over the top of all of my programs. I tried all of the fixes, but nothing worked, so I called Avast support, and a really nice tech person “with my permission” signed into my machine and, after some digging, found the Avast Windows 10 Update pop-up file in the Windows 10 task manager app, which he deleted. Make certain you’re calling the right number.

Avast antivirus unidentified network and ethernet doesn’t have

It’s nothing to be worried about; it’s perfectly natural. These are two good places to start if you want to read. Avast remembers and applies the appropriate Firewall profile each time you connect to a known network (as previously set by you).
Avast prompts you to pick the required profile each time you link to a new network. When no profile is selected, the default profile setting is. Yes, I’m connecting via WiFi. It’s nothing to do with pop-up windows or anything like that. Avast Firewall discovered a new network called “Microsoft WiFi Direct,” which I am not aware of.
In the firewall menu, it shows both “Microsoft WiFi Direct” and my usual network. This seems to happen only when I leave my computer unattended for an extended period of time. Avast discovers security flaws in over 600k gps trackers

This morning, a window appeared with the following message: “A new network has been identified by the firewall. For the new network, please pick the required Firewall mode.” Then, under “Install Firewall for the network you are currently connected to,” it says, “Setup Firewall for the network you are currently connected to.” Following that, you must choose between ‘Private’ and ‘Public’. Finally, there is a small checkbox that simply says ‘Friendly.’ I have no idea what all of this entails and would appreciate any assistance offered.

Avast and avg internet security go rogue on browsers

This has begun to happen to me as well. If you upgrade either Windows (7) or the Netgear driver, the connection will be lost if the PC goes to sleep. The note you see is shown when I wake up the computer (for example, after making coffee). The modem then reconnects in the background, and the message appears once more. But you’re having connection problems now and then?
Hello there,
Any time an FW profile is set for a network, this notification toaster about Firewall profile being set appears.
This means that if you connect to a network, switch networks, or reconnect to a network after being disconnected, this message appears because the FW profile is applied at that time.
Your PC disconnects from the network when you put it to sleep. It reconnects when it wakes up, then applies the FW profile and shows a notification. If you don’t want this notification to appear, you can disable it in settings, as you correctly discovered. Uncheck the “Display alerts about automatic profile switching” box in Settings > Components > Firewall > Network profiles to turn off the warning.
