I’d like to add my voice to this discussion. The never-ending 99 percent scan for confidential documents is causing me the same problems. I’ve even left it running overnight, but it never finishes. This role took minutes to complete in the previous version. Before the most recent update, I had never had any issues. I’ll follow the instructions in this thread and, if that doesn’t work, I’ll contact help directly.

My weekly scan has a minor issue. It appears to be at a standstill at 98 percent. It will not pause or stop, and I am unable to terminate the operation. As far as I can tell, no CPU is being used. Version of the running software is 11.1.2245, and the visrus definition versions are undisclosed. My operating system is Windows XP with Service Pack 3. Thank you for any assistance or suggestions. Also, all of the shields are disabled and will not turn on.
Thank you. Rednose, rednose, rednose I rebooted because the add/remove programs wouldn’t create the list. The scan began at 98 percent as soon as it came back up, and it still won’t let you pause or stop it. The list is still not being developed by the add/remove programs.

However, I had to download the setup exe 5 times because it kept failing at different points.
All is working well now, thanks a lot!
On a side note, I’m curious why, after reinstalling, it still remembered my exclusions… I’m not sure how it might remember those because I uninstalled all… I’m guessing they’re saved somewhere else…

As previously mentioned, there is a known bug (GUI) that needs to be fixed; however, the scan should/does complete; simply search the Scan History to see if the scan entry is present.
