How to flash/update merlin firmware to asus rt-series router

I then set the bulbs to reserved but in a range of IP addresses outside of my DHCP domain, and there was no problem discovering or controlling them, with the exception of the logitech POP not discovering two of the bulbs, which I was able to discover using Dan’s Python code.
I thought the problem was with my Sonos, so I called them first, but after an hour of intensive searching with their helpdesk, it was obvious that my Asus RT-AC5300 was (is) the issue. Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.3941 is most likely to blame. Since the problems with Sonos vanished (almost) when I updated the older Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.3341, but other wifi issues persisted.
The ‘pool’ of IPs is available in Asus WRT (basically from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.240). Is it right that I should add my lights starting at, say, 192.168.1.250 and so on? I also have an AC68U router and am having issues with it.
Thank you for the suggestion, @boxhead. My lights are having some trouble maintaining communication, and I’m not sure why. Setting them to a static IP address outside of the DHCP domain does not seem to work for me. I also have the RT-AC68U, and I currently have 30 IP clients attached. I’m using Merlin’s firmware, which is supposed to be a little bit better than the regular WRT firmware, and I’ve heard of people having no issues with 50+ IP clients on the same AP, so I’m beginning to believe that this is just due to too many clients on my AP or yet some random fact that I’m missing.

Asus router firmware update

If you’re a serious gamer who needs the fastest internet speed for your gaming applications, the Asus RT 5300 is the best choice. This router is packed with cutting-edge technology and eight antennas. This router can appear odd with its multiple antennas, but these antennas are used to provide you with improved signal. This router was created by Asus exclusively for gamers, and it comes with a slew of unique features.
Normally, routers are equipped with 2.4 GHz and 5.GHz bands, but the Asus RT AC 5300 is built with two 5.0 GHz bands and uses 802.11ac wireless technology. This router’s two bands can each produce 1733 Mbit/sec and operate independently. This router features a dual-core Broadcom processor with 512 MB of RAM. This router includes AsusWRT software as well as separate SoCs. You’ll get the best parental control and storage management available. The Smart Connect tool on the Asus RTAC5300 will determine the client’s location and provide fast wireless connections. Tri-band Gigabit Router is integrated into this wireless router. This router features adaptive QoS and the most up-to-date MU-MIMO technology. This advanced router is compatible with Ai-cloud, allowing you to access data and files more easily. The Gigabit Ethernet Port on the Asus RTAC5300 is used. Despite the fact that this router is packed with cutting-edge features, we also need to know about firmware upgrades in order to improve the device’s functionality.

Upgrade firmware on an asus router

So, I flashed my router with DD-WRT a while back and now I’d like to revert to the router’s original firmware. I downloaded it from the Asus website and updated it, but when the router booted up, there was no difference; it was still running DD-WRT firmware… I was curious whether there was a way to revert to the stock firmware or whether it was a done deal. Thank you for any assistance, guys and gals!
Yeah, I had a feeling I’d get a lot of grief for this decision… For whatever reason, I don’t think I need those options; I prefer the stock firmware’s simpler feel. I don’t know my ex, so it’s probably just a personal matter.

He hasn’t responded to the issue of why. I’m not sure what you’re talking about. You can also watch black and white shows on it, just as you can on color TV. Even if the screen is in color, you can turn it off and get it in black and white. But it seems like it can’t stand the fact that the “choice” to watch color is even open.

Broadcom chipsets, faster processors and more memory than the average, removable antennas, and USB ports for expansion are common features of the Asus series of routers. While Asus’ factory default firmware is more feature-rich than its competitors,[citation needed] it is not without flaws. Open source Linux-based router firmware projects such as DD-WRT,[1] OpenWrt,[2] Tomato Firmware[3] and DebWRT[4] are able to improve system efficiency while also providing more flexibility and customization choices to their users. Asus encourages and supports this use, and promotes many routers as being especially DD-WRT [1] compliant, including the RT-N16 gigabit router. Information on compatibility can be found further down. The RT-N13U/B, RT-N12, RT-N10+, WL-520GU, and WL-520GC are also DD-WRT compliant, but they do not come with the operating system.
