Amazon.com checkout process

One of the lessons it teaches is that learning what works well yields more knowledge than studying what doesn’t. Most people find this counterintuitive, but essentially, learning what works well yields greater outcomes than studying what doesn’t.
One of these businesses is Amazon. We’d like to study what’s going for them after they’ve spent countless hours perfecting their digital selling techniques. We’d like to take a look at their shopping cart system to see what functionality and best practices they use. Amazon is ranked as the #1 digitalseller by InternetRetailer.com, so we’re confident there’s a lot we can learn from them.
The Amazon shopping cart experience starts on the homepage, which is the first thing I found. When a visitor first appears on the site, there is a mini shopping cart in the top right corner of the page with no items. This shopping cart is lightweight and takes up little space.
It communicates a lot in the limited amount of real estate that it does take up on the page, despite the fact that it doesn’t take up much room. It includes an image of a shopping cart, a zero in the shopping cart to signify the number of items in the cart, and a small black arrow next to the cart to indicate that clicking or hovering over the cart will reveal more detail.

How to buy on amazon and make payment

Click Save for later to put off purchasing any of the items in your Shopping Cart until a later date. This adds the item to your Saved for Later list, which is stored under the Shopping Cart. When you’re ready to buy something, press Transfer to Cart next to it.
Select a number from the Quantity dropdown to adjust the quantity. We aim to provide great prices to our customers, which often necessitates limiting quantity to ensure that the majority of customers have the ability to order goods with extremely low prices or restricted availability.

You may have noticed that we recently added the ability to pay directly from the basket from your PayPal or Amazon account without having to sign into your Photobox account or even having a Photobox account. This is to make the process of purchasing your Photobox product(s) easier and faster, particularly if you’ve made a simple gift (s).
